Welcome to the University of Utah Society of Women Engineers

The Society of Women Engineers is an international non-profit educational and service organization founded in 1950. SWE is a driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career path for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in their goals and be recognized for their contributions as engineers and leaders.

For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. Our organization is centered on a passion for our members’ success and continues to grow with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today’s evolving engineering fields.

SWE at the University of Utah is a reputable, highly recognized student group that allows members to connect with each other and get the most out of their engineering education. We aim to provide our over 60 registered members and many others throughout the college of engineering with the necessary skills to ensure their academic success and superior preparation for their professional lives.
