About 40 high school students got a taste of what it is like to be an engineer during the three-day Exploring Engineering summer camp on the University of Utah’s College of Engineering campus. The event was held from June 18 – 20.

The students, who came from all over Utah, fired off air-powered rockets, built wind turbines, demoed virtual reality headsets and built and rode hovercrafts they created from leaf blowers.

Exploring Engineering is one of several outreach events during the summer that the College of Engineering organizes every year to introduce young students to the exciting world of engineering. Click below to see photos of the event.
