From a mobile marine dock to an automated litter box, seniors from the University of Utah’s mechanical engineering departments showed off their senior design projects during the biannual Design Day event at the Student Union Building.
The event, which was held Tuesday, Dec. 4, included 16 senior design projects as well as robotics competitions for first-year students. Other projects on display were a compost heat exchanger, a device to help patients with tetraplegia to fish, a temporary refugee shelter and more.
