The fall 2018 College of Engineering newsletter is now out and contains profiles of interesting people and research from our campus.
The cover story looks at a new $10.75 million grant for chemical engineering chair, Milind Deo, to create the university’s first Energy Frontier Research Center. This new center will study the scientific laws involving the interaction of solids and fluids, important research that could benefit future petroleum production.
Other stories include a profile of alumna and L3 Technologies executive, Aurora Taylor-Rojas, news of School of Computing alumni inducted into the ACM SIGGRAPH Academy, and a feature on student Brenda Payan, who talks about the benefits of attending the ACCESS program for women in STEM.
