Eighteen high school girls from Utah and Nevada spent five days on the University of Utah College of Engineering campus learning just how fun engineering can be.

The students attended the 15th annual Hi-GEAR engineering summer camp to learn about exciting science and technology concepts through fun demonstrations and tours. The event was held June 11 – 15. In addition to participating in a myriad of demonstrations with U engineering faculty, the students also took a tour of L3 Technologies in Salt Lake City. Sponsors of the camp included Boeing in Salt Lake City, the R. Harold Burton Foundation and Hill Air Force Base.
