Bioengineering students win Utah Entrepreneur Challenge

Students Julie Jay and Sean Bunker created a gel that forms a female smart molecular condom to help stop the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases in women. The students, who started the company AmWell, a biotechnology business, won first prize at the recent Utah Entrepreneur Challenge, a business plan competition for Utah college students. The prize included a $50,000 check. AmWell beat out 184 other teams from across the state of Utah for the top prize.
