Engineering Tutoring Center

Welcome to the Engineering Tutoring Center, a volunteer-run academic center that helps engineering students.

The goal of the tutoring center is to help engineering students through difficult engineering classes to better prepare them for junior and senior level coursework. Fellow Engineering students serve as tutors, so students can get help and information from peers who have “been there and done that.” Not only will students receive help completing homework, but also have the opportunity to gain a better understanding as to how that subject actually fits into their engineering coursework and future profession.

Common first year courses such as chemistry, physics, and math, as well as varying discipline-specific courses, are tutored Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in WEB 1622. The center is open for group and individual study all other times of day.

Since the Tutoring Center is run by student volunteers, we always welcome an extra hand!

Volunteering is a rewarding experience. You are helping to build up the engineering community, and have the chance to mentor students just starting in the program. Not only that, it looks good on resumes and grad school applications, and counts for service hours in various Honors societies.
