With $44 million annually in external research funding, the College of Engineering is a vital component of the University's growing research enterprise and offers a full spectrum of engineering disciplines and research training opportunities. Our highly interdisciplinary research environment has enabled faculty to respond to emerging needs in such diverse areas as visualization and graphics, energy, robotics, software engineering, advanced electronics, neuroprosthetic development, new construction and transportation technology, photonics, and nanotechnology.
