2007-2008 Engineering Ambassadors: Sam Francis

"There is a rich history of engineering here, especially in the biomedical field and it's nice to be part of that legacy."

Major: Biomedical Engineering

Hometown:Moab, Utah

Why I'm an Engineering Ambassador

Sweet Free Shirts! Meeting other engineers, being involved, and promoting one of the most important occupations around also has its appeal.

What I'm working on

I am an R&D Intern at Bard Access Systems, where I'm also working on designing an improved test method for my Senior Project.

Why I like the U's College of Engineering

There is a rich history of engineering here, especially in the biomedical field and it's nice to be part of that legacy. I also like associating with world class professors who are involved with cutting edge research.

What I plan to do

After Disneyland, probably go to graduate school, but I'm still somewhat undecided.

Do you have any hobbies outside of studying, working and attending school?

Almost any sport, especially soccer and Frisbee. Camping and hiking. Movie watching.
