Loans
The College of Engineering offers two loan programs for the purpose of providing promising undergraduate or graduate engineering students assistance in their pursuit of an engineering degree. Loans are available in the amount of $500 to $5,000 per year for up to three years and not to exceed a total of $15,000. Funds can be used for expenses related to an engineering education. Repayment begins nine months after graduation or withdrawal from a College of Engineering program, whichever comes first. Interest, at 5%, accrues at the commencement of the repayment period. The payoff period for the loan will be no longer than ten years, dependent on the amount of the loan, deferments, and exceptions made by the Board of Directors. Minimum monthly payments are $50.
Acceptance of the application does not guarantee the awarding of a loan. All applicants will undergo a credit check. Students who receive aid through the Financial Aid Office are not disqualified, unless their unmet dollar need has been maximized.
