Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
About the FE Exam
The Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is a comprehensive, 8-hour exam which is the first step in becoming licensed as a Professional Engineer. Passing the exam is also a graduation requirement in three of the seven departments in the College of Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. Registration, Dates and Deadlines
The FE Exam is administered twice a year, in April and October. Deadlines for registration are usually in February and August, respectively. FE Exam Review Lecture Series
The Dean's Office has organized a semesterly lecture series to help students prepare for this exam. The lectures are given by faculty and instructors in the College of Engineering, and are generally held on Friday afternoons and the occasional Wednesday afternoon beginning approximately 7 weeks prior to the FE Exam date.
