Major: Chemical Engineering/Chemistry

Hometown: Salt Lake City, Utah

Why I'm an Engineering Ambassador

I am an Engineering Ambassador because I believe it is important to encourage students to be enthusiastic about math, science, engineering, etc. I want to serve as an example for minority, female, and underrepresented students to show them that engineering is a fun and exciting field.

What I'm working on

I just came back to Salt Lake City from Florence, Kentucky where I was working as a production engineering intern for Ticona/Celanese. I am currently looking to complete my senior year to receive my B.S. in chemical engineering.

Why I like the U's College of Engineering

I like the U's College of Engineering because I believe there are professors and administrators in each department that strive to provide their students with an excellent learning experience and encourage active involvement in student groups.

What I plan to do

After I graduate I plan on either entering the chemical industry or attending law school. I also plan on traveling to Europe for the first time. Hopefully, I'll never have to spend a late night in the ICC again.

Do you have any hobbies outside of studying, working and attending school?

Right now school pretty much dominates my life. However, outside of school I like hanging out with my boyfriend, family, and friends, shopping, going to Salt Lake Roasting Company, playing with my dog, and traveling.
