Electrical and Computer Engineering professor Chris Myers has
been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical
Engineers, or IEEE.

This distinction is reserved for “select IEEE
members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of
interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation,”
according to the IEEE website.

Myers is being recognized for his contributions in designing and
testing for asynchronous, analog and genetic circuits. His current
research emphasizes asynchronous circuit design, analog error control
decoders, formal verification of analog/mixed-signal circuits and
cyber-physical systems, and modeling, analysis and design of genetic
circuits.

Each IEEE Fellow receives a certificate with the name of the Fellow and
a brief citation describing the accomplishment, a congratulatory letter
from the incoming IEEE president and a gold sterling silver Fellow lapel
pin with antique finish.
