University of Utah civil engineering faculty Steven Burian and Pedro Romero led a group of 24 students participating in a five-week study abroad program on sustainable infrastructure in Costa Rica.
During their stay, the group learned about infrastructure associated with power generation, transportation networks and water resources in Costa Rica. In addition, they created a sustainability-themed Wiki textbook that is now available online: sustainable-infra.wikispaces.com
The student’s visit and the U’s sustainability program were featured in a CNN story about an eco-ranch in Costa Rica.
